About

Created in 2020, Studio de Lostanges symbolize the shared vision of two sisters, Louise and Jeanne Tresvaux du Fraval. Attached to know-how, they design contemporary shapes, with sensitive fabrics for clothes that last, against the flow of industrial practices.

One edition per year, the brand promotes a circular economy through a selection of French regional companies, guarantors of heritage know-how. All the pieces are thus in limited edition, such as the pullovers, made in Brittany in one of the last French knitwear factories. The fabrics, leathers and buttons often come from dead stocks, or second hand, their quantity will define the number of pieces per edition. The patterns are designed accordingly to the width of the fabric rolls, to make the most out of it.

Studio de Lostanges is characterized by the economy of shapes and colors.

Throughout the year, the sisters collect vintage and contemporary materials of natural origin that reveal the pure and resistant clothes. The preferred materials are cotton poplin, seersucker, twill, corduroy, cotton-linen mix, linen, merino wool, pure virgin wool.

The editions hatch in the spring, but the products are timeless and seasonless.

Jeanne and Louise are driven by the questions of creating clothes from existing resources, adapting to different body shapes and different periods of life, and how to consume less and better in a society that promotes consumption.
